Sargol refers to the "top of the flower". Our Sargol saffron is made up of the red stigmas which have been professionally cut and separated from the style prior to drying.

Saffron is obtained from the flower which is well known as "Crocus Sativus". Based on the quality, Saffron is presently sold are of two type selected quality and the unselected quality. Selected quality also known as MONGRA, that we have elaborated in Kashmiri Mogra Saffron. The unselected quality is generally known as LACHCHA.
Lachcha Saffron is also one of the grades of Kashmiri Saffron. The long and flat dark red threads that contain some yellow filaments besides the stigmas and floral wastes which we find are known as Lachcha.

Bunch saffron contains the stigma with the whole style from the tip of the dark red threads to the yellow color tail of the filament.
Pushali saffron is very vivid because it contains the stylish red stigma with a yellowish tail at the bottom. It contains the stigma with an approximate style of 3 - 7mm. This kind of saffron has lower color strength as compared to Kashmiri and Sargol saffron. It is produced at the early stages of harvesting season. This grade of saffron is not cut like sargol and therefore contains some yellow parts from the style of the plant and also a bit of floral waste.
Negin Saffron is a superior quality of Pushali Saffron. This Negin saffron has much longer and thicker stigmas than the normal Pushali Saffron. Negin saffron is characterized by its very long filaments. This saffron also has a bit of the yellow style left attached to some of the saffron stigmas. This Negin Saffron has a much better colouring strength as compared to normal Pushali Saffron. Negin Saffron is also rated by flavor and bitterness with the quality standard, and the minimum values for these are 20 and 70, respectively.
